Liars and Insurance

July 28, 2009

It dawned on me McMahon has an insurance problem — but he might simply be a scum of the earth liar.

I was thinking about the liars I’ve known — really not that many — and more than once it had to do with unlawful advice from an insurance company to its insured ( e.g. Missouri Jesuits).   Insurance companies can’t tell you to lie, in court or out of court.  If they do, you can sue them and report them to regulators.   That’s what you’re supposed to do.   (I’ll help!)

But most policies don’t even cover breach of contract — which I’m sure they’ve been told.

And when the Jesuits lie, and supervisors don’t do anything about it, they are creating some big new supervision issues.

I have a good “sniffer”, and it dawned on me that if McMahon is not a scum of the earth liar, he probably has an insurance problem.   This is a current complaint,  not a decades old problem, and they have insurance.

Since I don’t know any of this for sure, I’m not going to cut them any breaks.

No one has the right to make you lie.   It has reverberations and creates shit for other people.
